I'm a Level 2 Sommelier certified by the National Wine School with more than a decade of focused study and hands-on experience. My formal wine education began at the University of Houston (2012–2013), where I built a structured foundation in wine regions, production, and tasting methodology. I later studied viticulture at Texas Tech University (2015–2016), deepening my understanding of grape growing and the science behind winemaking.
While in law school I worked for Total Wine & More as a cashier and wine sales associate—helping run classes, supporting the wine bar, selecting wines for presentation, and guiding customers through tastings. That retail and tasting-room experience taught me how to make wine approachable, educational, and enjoyable for a wide range of audiences. I combine formal training, practical retail experience, and a passion for wine education to create thoughtful, engaging experiences tailored to every level of familiarity.
